Deskrove is a workspace brand, not a desk brand. We build the anchors — desks and chairs — and we curate everything else around them. One checkout. Two to four days. No renting from three different retailers to kit out one room.
"I spent four weekends last year ordering a desk from one site, a chair from another, a monitor arm from Amazon, a lamp from a boutique, and a keyboard that arrived broken. Five vendors, three return forms, one working desk. There had to be a better way to furnish a room you'll spend 40 hours a week in."
Deskrove was founded by two people who've spent the last decade working in furniture and ergonomics — and who kept running into the same problem from opposite sides.
Eight years at Made.com running home-office category. Last role — product lead for desks and storage. Learned how to source hardwood at scale, and how not to treat delivery as an afterthought.
Six years at Herman Miller working on the Embody and Aeron refresh programmes. Physiotherapist by training. Knows exactly how many centimetres of lumbar travel a chair needs to matter — and how most office chairs fake it.
We don't stock four hundred SKUs. We stock what we'd use ourselves. Everything we sell passes these four tests.
Every desk and chair we sell has replaceable parts. Drawer runners, casters, gas struts, arm pads — spares ship for the lifetime of the product. No glued shells.
We don't rebadge cheap keyboards and sell them at a markup. Keychron makes better boards than we ever could. We curate, we don't imitate.
A £549 solid oak desk is £549 because solid oak costs £310 wholesale and we need to keep the lights on. We don't do fake "was £799, now £549" pricing.
A great chair and a wobbly desk still means back pain. We sell the pairing because the pairing is the product. Bundles save money because rooms make sense.
Our desks are built in a 2,400 sq ft unit in Attercliffe, east Sheffield — a ten minute drive from Sheffield Midland station. It used to be a cutlery works. Now it's a workshop, a QC bench, and an office.
The oak series is built here, start to finish — sourced from FSC-certified timber merchants in North Yorkshire, milled on a Felder K940 saw, finished with a water-based satin lacquer. The Core series (laminate) ships from a partner factory in Poland — we don't pretend otherwise.
If you're nearby, you can visit — email hello@deskrove.co.uk to book a slot. We don't have a public showroom yet.
A lot of brands pretend they're everything. We'd rather be upfront about what we're not — so you can decide if we're worth your time.
We read every email. One working day response, usually same-day. No support tickets, no chatbot handoff.
