Warranty periods by product
Warranty starts on the day we ship your order. You don't need to register — we already have your order details. Keep your order email; that's your proof.
What the warranty covers
If something goes wrong that shouldn't have — under normal indoor use, without abuse — we fix it or replace it. No argument.
What's not covered
We're transparent about exclusions so there are no surprises when you claim.
How to claim — four steps
Most claims are resolved within three working days. The process is deliberately simple — no forms, no escalation tickets.
Send to warranty@deskrove.co.uk with your order number (format DSK-XXXXXX) and 2—3 photos showing the issue clearly.
We'll reply with a diagnosis and the outcome — repair, replacement part, full replacement, or (rare) repair credit if the fault is cosmetic-only.
Replacement parts ship next working day via DPD. Full replacements ship within 5 working days for Core / 10 days for Oak (built to order).
For desks and chairs, if the fix requires removing the old one, we'll arrange collection of the faulty item at the same time as delivery of the new one. No orphan furniture in your living room.
Repair, replace, or refund
UK consumer law gives you the right to a refund, repair, or replacement on faulty goods. We don't try to avoid any of these — we pick the outcome that gets you working again fastest.
- Repair — for single-part faults like casters, gas struts, handles. Ships in 2—3 days, most people fit it themselves (no tools needed for most parts).
- Replacement part — for larger components like chair bases, desk legs, drawer assemblies. We cover delivery both ways.
- Full replacement — for structural faults on a chair or a damaged-on-arrival desk. Old item collected, new item delivered, same day wherever possible.
- Refund — if we can't fix it in a reasonable timeframe (UK law: 30 days from report for a first fault). Refunded to original payment method within 5 working days of collection.
Transferable warranty — chairs only
All three chairs carry a transferable warranty. Sell the chair, gift it, pass it to a colleague — the remaining warranty transfers with the chair.
To transfer, the new owner emails warranty@deskrove.co.uk with:
- Original order number or serial (under the seat, format
DSK-CH-XXXXXX) - Date of transfer
- New owner's name and address
We update our records. No fee, no inspection required. Desks are not transferable — too hard to verify condition without collection, and we don't want to promise what we can't verify.
Your UK consumer rights
This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. It doesn't replace them, reduce them, or override them.
Under UK law, you're entitled to goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If a product fails within 6 months, the fault is assumed to be present at delivery unless we can prove otherwise.
If you believe we've failed to honour this warranty or your statutory rights, you can escalate to the Citizens Advice consumer service. We'd much rather you email us first — we respond faster than any formal process.
