A warranty that outlasts the cheapest option.

Every Deskrove product is covered against manufacturing defects, mechanism failure, and material breakdown — for at least four years, and up to twelve. Chairs are transferable: pass them to a colleague or a new owner, the warranty follows.

Why the difference between Oak and Core? Solid hardwood, built in-house, we stake our name on it. Laminate from a partner factory — we trust it for 5 years but won't overpromise.

What the warranty covers

If something goes wrong that shouldn't have — under normal indoor use, without abuse — we fix it or replace it. No argument.

What's not covered

We're transparent about exclusions so there are no surprises when you claim.

Excluded
Cosmetic wear — scratches, dents, scuffs from normal daily use. Oak will develop patina; that's the material, not a defect.

Abuse & impact — dropped monitors, spilled drinks, standing on the desk, chairs over the stated 130kg weight limit
Excluded
Outdoor or humid use — all products are designed for normal indoor conditions. Conservatories and garages void the warranty.

Commercial use for Basic tier — Basic Chair is 8h/day rated. Pro (12h) and Elite (24h) are commercial-rated.
Excluded
DIY modifications — drilling, staining, swapping parts from other brands. Reversible additions (cable trays etc.) are fine.

Consumables — armrest pads wear over 5+ years, that's normal. Replacement pads are £24 and ship in 2 days.

How to claim — four steps

Most claims are resolved within three working days. The process is deliberately simple — no forms, no escalation tickets.

Email us with photos

Send to warranty@deskrove.co.uk with your order number (format DSK-XXXXXX) and 2—3 photos showing the issue clearly.

We diagnose within 1 working day

We'll reply with a diagnosis and the outcome — repair, replacement part, full replacement, or (rare) repair credit if the fault is cosmetic-only.

Parts or replacement ships free

Replacement parts ship next working day via DPD. Full replacements ship within 5 working days for Core / 10 days for Oak (built to order).

Installation help, if needed

For desks and chairs, if the fix requires removing the old one, we'll arrange collection of the faulty item at the same time as delivery of the new one. No orphan furniture in your living room.

Don't disassemble a suspected warranty item. Photos of the fault in situ help us diagnose faster. If we need a part back, we'll send a prepaid label.

Repair, replace, or refund

UK consumer law gives you the right to a refund, repair, or replacement on faulty goods. We don't try to avoid any of these — we pick the outcome that gets you working again fastest.

  • Repair — for single-part faults like casters, gas struts, handles. Ships in 2—3 days, most people fit it themselves (no tools needed for most parts).
  • Replacement part — for larger components like chair bases, desk legs, drawer assemblies. We cover delivery both ways.
  • Full replacement — for structural faults on a chair or a damaged-on-arrival desk. Old item collected, new item delivered, same day wherever possible.
  • Refund — if we can't fix it in a reasonable timeframe (UK law: 30 days from report for a first fault). Refunded to original payment method within 5 working days of collection.

Transferable warranty — chairs only

All three chairs carry a transferable warranty. Sell the chair, gift it, pass it to a colleague — the remaining warranty transfers with the chair.

To transfer, the new owner emails warranty@deskrove.co.uk with:

  • Original order number or serial (under the seat, format DSK-CH-XXXXXX)
  • Date of transfer
  • New owner's name and address

We update our records. No fee, no inspection required. Desks are not transferable — too hard to verify condition without collection, and we don't want to promise what we can't verify.

Your UK consumer rights

This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. It doesn't replace them, reduce them, or override them.

Under UK law, you're entitled to goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If a product fails within 6 months, the fault is assumed to be present at delivery unless we can prove otherwise.

If you believe we've failed to honour this warranty or your statutory rights, you can escalate to the Citizens Advice consumer service. We'd much rather you email us first — we respond faster than any formal process.
